Bafoussam 1 council: 1000 young people trained in self-employment

Mayor Cyrille Ngang to help displaced people from the Anglophone crisis who have found refuge in the commune of Bafoussam 1 council.

There are a total of 1000 young people to whom generic knowledge has been provided on setting up and monitoring a small income-generating activity.  For four days, these young people internally displaced by the crisis raging in the north-west region and who found refuge in the capital of the west region, more precisely in the district of Bafoussam 1er, participated in the July 14 to 17, 2021 at a training seminar organized by Mayor Cyrille Ngang.  Following the advocacy led by the boss of the mayor of Bafoussam I to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), this body agreed to support the entire budget for this training.
UNDP has also made money available to help the 1,000 beneficiaries start small income-generating activities after the difficult period they have gone through so far.  At the end of this training, the beneficiaries were full of praise for the mayor of Cyrille Ngang who asked them to feel at home in Bafoussam 1er.  It was the public school of Ndiengdam in the district of Bafoussam 1er which served as the framework for this training session held from July 14 to July 17, 2021.
