The populations of Bangangté take great care

Diagnosing the state of health of the populations is the goal of the stay of Chinese doctors in Bangangté at the invitation of Mayor Eric Niat.

This Chinese medical mission from Shan-Xien in China is made up of around twenty Chinese doctors specializing in general medicine, general surgery, orthopedics, acupuncture, stomatology, ophthalmology, ultrasound, anesthesia, surgery dental and ORL. Some reside in Cameroon and others abroad. On August 12 and 13, 2021, the team offered free health care to the Bangangté populations in the Ndé division. An initiative of the mayor of this municipality, Eric Niat, which is part of a campaign aimed at relieving the many sick people who ignore themselves.

At the launch of this activity in the presence of the representative of the prefect of the department of Ndé, Etienne Dickson Narke Narke, the mayor explained what this initiative consists of: “Thanks to Sino-Cameroonian cooperation in the field of health, we have taken it is up to us to invite these high-quality Chinese medical specialists in order to provide each of you with a health check-up for two days. This campaign will allow you to better understand your general state of health and perhaps to detect unsuspected diseases”. At the place of the doctors, the mayor expressed his satisfaction and his thanks while acknowledging that this medical mission in Bangangté undoubtedly and effectively strengthens relations between the two great nations of China and Cameroon.

Speaking, Tian Yuan head of the Chinese delegation indicated the purpose of their presence in Bangangté: “Chinese doctors are there on the one hand to find solutions to the difficult medical problems facing populations and parents in particular. who for lack of means fail to afford a health check. And on the other hand, to forge solid friendship relations between the Chinese and Cameroonian peoples and to help maintain the friendship between China and Cameroon « . In Bangangté, the language barrier issue was not felt either during the consultation process, when the parameters were taken or when dealing with medical specialists. A team of translators accompanied the delegation in order to overcome the difficulties of comprehension.

During the first day of this health campaign, the populations overwhelmingly responded to the call of the municipal authorities. « It is in our interest that the mayor and the Chinese medical team have joined forces for a humanitarian cause that goes beyond the limits of our borders, » people could hear. When visiting the various stands, he is a mayor who is visibly satisfied with the medical equipment deployed in the field and the professionalism of the various players. He also appreciated the mobilization shown by the populations. For Eric Niat, this action is part of a positive dynamic which consists in developing a relationship of trust between the town hall and the populations.
