LISTED ISSUER COMPANIES : 2.6 billion FCFA dividends distributed in 2022

Out of the six listed issuers, only three of which, The Regional Bank, Bange Bank and the Gabonese Commercial Reinsurance Company have distributed dividend as of August 18, 2023. The six companies listed by the Cemac Stock Exchange (Bvmac) amounted their dividends share at 2.6 billion FCFA in 2022.

 

The company that Louis Banga Ntolo directs does not give details following this assertion. According to the official communications from the Boards of Directors (BOD) of the listed companies and transmitted to the Bvmac through data sheets and summary of the BOD. Only three banks including the Regional Bank, Bange Bank and the Gabonese Commercial Reinsurance Company out of the six issuers of the equity compartment have distributed dividends.

The Regional Bank has distributed 1.499 billion FCFA to its shareholders. A first in 8 exercises. For listed shares, the net dividend per share is 1,332 FCFA after the application of the Income Tax on securities which is 10%. Its listing on the regional stock exchange comes at the end of its public offer for the sale of shares carried out in 2021. The Regional having raised 2.5 billion FCFA had incorporated this amount into the capital at the nominal value of 10,000 FCFA. The share valued at 42,000 FCFA therefore left an issue premium of 32,000 FCFA per subscribed share. Cumulatively, the amount of the premium represents 1.469 billion FCFA and has been incorporated into the capital.

On July 29, 2023 in Malabo, the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Equatorial Guinea (Bange Bank) approved the financial statements of the Equatorial Guinean banking group present in several Cemac countries, including Cameroon. According to the final press release that sanctioned Bange bank, it proceeded to the payment of the annual dividend on behalf of the financial year ended December 31, 2022.

A total envelope of 419.8 million FCFA has been distributed to the shareholders of the banking institution, we learned from the official bulletin of the listing of August 16, 2023. For the shares listed on the stock exchange, the net dividend amounts to 8,397.4 FCFA. After two financial years without dividends, Bange Bank has just brought a smile back to its shareholders thanks to its positive performances achieved in 2022. The net result reached a profit of 5.2 billion FCFA or + 102 % compared to the 2.5 billion FCFA recorded in 2021.

At the end of its general meeting on July 28, 2023, the Gabonese commercial Reinsurance Company (SCG-Ré) proceeded to the redistribution of 905 million FCFA of dividends to shareholders, thanks to its financial performance in 2022 which experienced a significant increase. During this period, its turnover reached 17.7 billion FCFA, i.e. + 21 % year-on-year. The net result also increased by 42 % to reach 1.4 billion FCFA compared to 1.02 billion in 2021. For the moment, no official communication concerning the distribution of dividends to the shareholders of Socapalm, Safacam and Semc has been made public.
