IVORY COAST : The concept « Wafa Connect Abidjan 2024 » unveiled

[abelainfo] - During an event organized on April 25th, in the presence of key players in the industry, finance, and insurance sectors, Wafa Assurance Group presented this innovative concept, which signifies the institution's commitment to strengthen its presence as a trusted partner in Africa.

Wafa Assurance Group gathered over 100 business leaders from the banking and insurance sectors in Ivory Coast for a cocktail dinner in Abidjan on Thursday, April 25th, 2024. This event marked the launch of the « Wafa Connect Abidjan 2024 » concept.

Wafa Connect, a pan-African initiative launched for the first time by Wafa Assurance Group in Abidjan, brought together key players from the industry, finance, and insurance sectors. Boubker Jai, CEO of Wafa Assurance Group, inaugurated this first edition. Wafa Assurance is the leader in insurance in Morocco and a prominent actor in the Interafrican Conference on Insurance Markets (CIMA) zone.

The event took place at the WIA Palace, a historic building symbolizing Wafa Assurance’s commitment to establishing strong connections with local stakeholders and strengthening its presence as a trusted partner on the African continent.

Among the participants were CEOs, top executives of large companies, policymakers, and diplomats, including Abdelmalek Kettani, Ambassador of Morocco to Ivory Coast.

Adil Bouifrouri, Executive Director of Wafa International, presented the company, followed by Mr. Kasmi, Executive Director in charge of subsidiaries, as well as the General Managers of the Ivorian subsidiaries, Guy Lawson-Body and Fayçal Ouzgane, who emphasized Wafa Assurance’s commitment to operational excellence and customer service.

The event served as a platform to share innovative ideas, strengthen partnerships, and highlight the strategic importance of Wafa Connect for the Ivorian and African economies. Building on this success, the next Wafa Connect is already scheduled to take place in Dakar at the beginning of June.
